History of C Programming

Dennis M. Ritchie created the computer programming language C at Bell Laboratories in the early 1970s. Its purpose was to write operating systems for small computers with low memory capacities. CPL, which had been simplified into the B programming language, served as the foundation for C. Between 1977 and 1979, C changed as the UNIX operating system was improved. The official C standard was created in 1983 by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and C is still widely used in operating systems that resemble UNIX. Concurrent C, Objective C, C*, C#, and C++ are among C's the next generation.
